Copepod mix

The main component in the mix is the marine copepod Tigriopus californicus.

The mix also contains Tisbe, Pseudodiaptomus and Apocyclops.

We don't filter out the mix. Therefore, you get the zooplankton at all ages. Ideal for continuing to breed yourself. 

 

We feed the mix with Tetraselmis Suecica. Stimulates zooplankton to multiply. (-;

 

The Copeboden Mix is a special treat for LPS corals such as Tubastrea Acanthastrea, Blastomussa Caulastrea, Lobophyllia Mircomussa Fungias etc.

For the tweezers, lyre coral guards, the mix is a highlight anyway. These fish like to hunt at night, where the plankton scurry around between the stones.

The mix also helps in some cases with cyano infestation. In combination with phytoplankton feeding, (Synechococcus) the mix multiplies and disturbs the cyanos when they dig around in the bottom and on the reef.

Dosage: As food for corals. It's best to use a pipette directly on the corals.

For the reef and the fish, best at night when everyone is sleeping. Turn off the return and flow pump and wait 5 minutes. Add the mix in the basin and switch the pumps on again after 1/2 hour. The zooplankton need a while to find a place in the reef/bottom. When the pumps are switched on, it simply swirls around in the tank and is completely "eaten" by the fish/corals and skimmers the next day.
