Brachionus plicatilis, is the larger species of rotifer.
The rotifers are enormous “eating monsters” and are therefore well suited to stuffing them with all sorts of different food or additives. Very practical for feeding all kinds of larvae.
Our rotifers are fed Nannochloropsis Oculata. When bottling, we also add Oculata to keep the animals happy. If the rotifers starve, it may take several days for them to reproduce again.
We don't sift out the rotifers. So you get adults and babies equally. Ideal for further breeding. If you wish, we can sift out the adult rotifers for you if you only need the smallest ones. We are working on being able to offer plankton sieves as soon as possible
After you receive the rotifers, they can be kept in the refrigerator for several days. To do this, simply remove the lid and place it loosely. If the rotifers remain warm, they must be fed very quickly.
