Nannochloropsis Salina is a really fast-growing plankton. Stimulated by photosynthesis, cell division begins immediately. Food in the form of nitrate and phosphate is therefore required in large quantities, which is very beneficial for polluted aquariums.

Phytoplankton can be kept in the refrigerator for 4-8 weeks. Shake a little every now and then so that the cells don't clump together.
